@hiranok It was devastating to hear the news of passing away of Jakucho Setouchi, a great author. She was always kind and encouraging to me, and was a great support to me since my debut. I was surprised to see her in line at a book store for my book signing session in Kyoto whenI was in my mid-20s. The photos were taken at that time. I don't think it would be appropriate to ask Setouchi-san to rest in peace. I hope she will continue to be active in heaven
The hotel I stayed at on New Year's Day had a calligraphy set, and I wrote these three. I wrote them in the same style as the examples that were apparently printed out from some website. The words "New Year" are OK, but “dream” is not really my taste, but it's strange that I could write it when the example was so. I understand why sometimes children can be so eager to practice their calligraphy for tax slogans or something like that at school.
